~ Stuff Wanting ~

I’ve been feeling so stale with my style for such a long time but tbh I’m just so broke all the time that I need to give up and start making some of my own clothes again. I have been hitting the thrifts more often and that’s been helping too, but I really like having clothes that I made, I just stopped enjoying the process somewhere along the way. Something about wrestling with my sewing machine just became less than desirable as a post-work activity. But that doesn’t mean I can’t throw together less structured stuff like wrap pants
On a related note, where do people find real gold jewelry and like, designer pieces? I feel like I need to start going to estate sales or something. I feel like I could learn to love the hunt. Although honestly what I want most is a Vivienne armor ring (eternally making the media I consume my personality,) and I don’t think I’m gonna find one of those at an estate sale in Kansas…
Ideally, I’d find a few nice solid gold pieces (maybe silver too, I’m not opposed to mixing metals I just like gold on my skin tone better) that I can wear well with tee shirts and just stick with that for a long time/forever. I am definitely done buying costume jewelry, although I will say I got a pair of plated oh clem huggies a few years ago as a gift and I’ve been super surprised and happy with the quality. I wear them almost every day and…. maybe don’t treat them the best but despite that they still look amazing. So who knows, maybe plated jewelry is sometimes worth getting! I loved my plated herringbone necklace (also a gift!) for about a year and a half but it’s not looking so great. Although tbh I have wondered if I’ve killed it by putting tiger balm on my neck while I was wearing it, whoops.. It’s obviously much more delicate too, maybe if I went with a heavier chain type it would last longer?
